This weekend I had a show in Fredericksburg, VA about 6 hours away that got booked on a website I’m on for gigs called The Bash.

It was a birthday party for the wife of the host, and he said she loves game shows. We did Name That Tune, Family Feud, Jeopardy, Majority Rules, Plinko, and America Says over 2 hours! She had a blast and at the very end she got 3 Plinko chips in the $10,000 spot and everyone went nuts.

At the end of the show, the husband gave me a very generous tip that covered my hotel, gas, and food and then some! I drove two hours to get to a closer to home hotel and woke up early to drive home and make it to my son Tommy’s baseball game with 5 minutes to spare. 10 minutes after that, I got this shining review!

I don’t always have to scramble and drive insane distances for work anymore, but I actually love to do it every so often because it reinvigorates me and reminds me of how I would go anywhere for any opportunity or bit of money back in the day. And I started and finished a brand new book by Dave Ramsey called Build A Business You Love which I highly recommend!
